Not in Kansas...

Though, I've never been to Kansas so maybe that's a bit of a misnomer. Anyway! Landed yesterday, and was picked up at the airport by a very kind Japanese student. She even spoke English with me, which I think I needed after my long flight, I don't think I was up to trying to translate in my head. I got to the apartment about two hours after arriving at the airport. Lots of train connections that I can't remember. Hopefully I won't have to. I got a lot of paper work from my dormitory manager, but I didn't go over it last night- too tired. Or, I was at about 8. I fell asleep pretty quickly. but then woke up wide awake at eleven. Here comes the jet lag. I went back to sleep at about 4, then woke up again at six. Hopefully I'll be able to adjust my clock today.

This morning at 9:15 I have another meeting with the manager. She'll show me where the laundry room is and where to register my residence at. Another train ride. I hope I don't get lost! I also hope she will be able to tell me where to buy groceries. I'll have to go over the paper work she gave me again and work on getting that all filled out too.

I'm glad I got here a day early rather than a day late. It'll give me time to adjust. Also, there's hardly anyone here as of last night- just six others. So hopefully, I'll be prepared to meet others as they arrive today. That's the nice thing about having no internet in the apartments- it forces everyone to the lounge to interact.

I think that's it for now. But lets close with a few pictures of my apartment/dorm room. I think it's more bedroom space then the one I had freshman year of college, but the bathroom is extremely small! I'll have to keep most of my toiletries  in the bedroom portion of my room.
Bedroom area from the entry way.

Kitchen area.

Close up of kitchen.

Extremely small bathroom.
